YOUR HUMAN TEAM

  • “Information is power”

Founder Jacqueline Sadlo is a paralegal, advocate, and entrepreneur who created Start Disability both to make the SSDI process simpler and more just, and to give people easy access to medical and legal information through a dedicated library of resources—because when people have information, they have power. She hates forms and is on a mission to make them easier for everyone to understand and complete. Jacqueline lives with a disability and is a proud mother of six and grandmother of three. She enjoys research, writing, the outdoors, and traveling the U.S. In her spare time, she loves creating whimsical stories for children.

  • “Perspective creates change”

Co-founder Joseph Sadlo is a photographer, licensed drone operator, Squarespace specialist, and lifelong Buffalo Bills fan who helped launch the Start Disability website. He has journeyed across the U.S. photographing wild landscapes, animals, and the beauty of living close to the land. From Buffalo Bills to buffalo herds, he’s always chasing the perfect shot. He loves adventure, is now trying his hand at homesteading, and brings that same spirit of exploration and resilience to the project. Joseph believes clear perspectives don’t just change what we see—they change how we live.
